Khulna rally shifted to Sept 29: UNB adds: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s public rally scheduled to be held in Khulna on September 22 has been shifted to September 29.   The rally has been rescheduled for bad condition of its venue, Khulna Circuit House ground, as it has gone under water, Khaleda’s media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan told UNB on Saturday.   Meanwhile, Khaleda’s Barisal rally scheduled for September 29 has been postponed and the fresh date for the rally will be announced later, Sayrul said.   As part of its movement strategy, the BNP-led 18-party chalked out a plan to hold rallies in the country’s eight regions, including Khulna and Barisal to increase people’s involvement in its ongoing anti-government campaign and force the government to restore now-abolished caretaker government system to oversee the national election.   Earlier on September 8, Khaleda, also the leader of the opposition in parliament, addressed a mammoth rally in Narsingdi, the first out of the eight scheduled rallies.   She is going to address two public rallies in Rangpur and Rajshahi on Sunday and Monday respectively. She left her Gulshan residence to the country’s northern region at 3:40pm on Saturday to address the rallies.   The former premier will address public rallies in Sylhet on October 5 and in Dhaka and Chittagong after Eid-ul Azha. – UNB
