Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Saturday said that BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia was physically fit now but she was suffering from some chronic diseases.
After inaugurating a new building of police station at Debhata upazila of Shatkhira the Home Minister said “Khaleda is physically sound now but she has been suffering from some chronic diseases. She is getting all the facilities according to the jail code.”
The minister said Khaleda is under regular checkup and getting all the facilities according to the jail code.
The BNP chief landed in jail over the Zia Charitable Trust corruption case on February 8.
Referring to the issue of Rohingya repatriation, home minister said the government was working on it and had several meetings with Myanmar authorities in this regard.
