Khaleda undergoes eye surgery in London

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has undergone a successful eye surgery at an eye hospital in London.

The BNP chief underwent the surgery for the cataract in her right eye at Moorfields Eye Hospital on Tuesday evening (London time), said her media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan on Thursday.

He said doctors discharged Khaleda three hours after her successful surgery.

Sayrul said Khaleda’s eldest daughter-in-law Dr Zubaida Rahman was there in the operation theatre during the surgery.

He said the BNP chief sought blessings from the country’s people for her early recovery.

On July 15, Khaleda went to London for receiving medical treatment and spending time with her family members there.

Earlier on September 16, 2015, she went to London and underwent a surgery for the cataract in her left eye.

The BNP chief may return home after celebrating Eid-ul-Azha with her family members in London.
