Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Youngone Corporation Kihak Sung has assured the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) of providing trainings and other related cooperation from Youngone to create 2,000 new entrepreneurs in Bangladesh.The assurance came during a meeting between a DCCI trade delegation and the representatives of Youngone, the world’s second largest RMG makers in Seoul, South Korea on Wednesday, said a DCCI media release on Thursday.
Kihak Sung praised the efforts of the Bangladeshi workers and said they are very energetic and skilled.
He stressed development of infrastructure, energy and power and communication sector of Bangladesh.
Sung welcomed the DCCI for taking the initiative of creating 2,000 new entrepreneurs and said this effort will create employment opportunities.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Faruk Khan, DCCI President M Sabur Khan and South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Yun-young were present at the meeting.
During the discussion, DCCI president M Sabur Khan said the Chamber has already initiated to create 2,000 new entrepreneurs by this year and requested the Youngone Corporation to assist DCCI to make this initiative a success.
He also invited the South Korean investors to invest in renewable energy, wind power, infrastructure, ICT, IT, tourism, communication, agriculture, agro-food and pharmaceuticals sector of Bangladesh.
Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Muhammad Faruk Khan said Bangladesh and South Korea have long been maintaining a good bilateral trade relation and many South Korean business units like Young are in operation in Bangladesh and they are doing business quite successfully.
Faruk Khan informed that Bangladesh government has declared various incentives and lucrative packages to foreign investors to invest in Bangladesh.
He also invited South Korean investors to invest in Bangladesh enjoying these packages. – UNB
