The visiting delegation of the Labour Friends of Bangladesh (LFoB) on Monday met Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and appreciated the significant contribution made by Bangladesh Diaspora in the UK.Welcoming the delegation at the state guesthouse Padma, Mahmood Ali expressed the optimism that this visit will further enhance people-to-people contact and strengthen long-lasting bilateral relations in all sectors, including parliamentary democracy.
Sir Keir Starmer MP, former Director of Public Prosecutions for England & Wales, now Shadow Home Office Minister; Stephen Timms MP, former Chief Secretary to the Treasury; and Steve Reed MP, former Leader of Lambeth Council, now Shadow Local Government Minister, were, among others, in the the LFoB delegation.
The delegation will also visit National Monument in Savar and Bangabandhu Memorial Museum.
