The Bangladesh Labour Party led by its chairman Dr. Mustafizur Rahman Iran brought out a lightning procession in the Segunbagicha area of the city to drum up support for the blockade called by the 18-party opposition alliance.Police suddenly attacked the procession and opened fire injuring two labour party workers – Mohammad Ali (32) and Tapan Kumar (19). The police attack made processionists ran for cover and safety. They chanted slogans in support of their demand for election under a non-party neutral government. – Press release
