The night of divine and benediction for the Muslims, Lailatul Qadr,
was observed in Bagerhat district town with due respect, religious
fervour and devotion on the night of Monday as all over the country
The Quran was revealed on this night to show mankind the path of
worldly and eternal emancipation.
The devoted Muslims spent the night at mosques and homes offering
prayers, reciting the Holy Quran and seeking blessings from Allah for
long life, peace, progress and happiness for themselves, for their
families, relatives and friends as well as the nation and Muslim
Ummah.
Under the auspices of the management of Bagerhat Central (old
court) Mosque a special Munajat and Waz Mahfil was held in the mosque
where a large number of devotees were present for the whole night.
