A section of land grabbers were grabbed a part of Horihor river near at Hakawbaha village under Monirampur Upazila, it is alleged. According to complain submitted at the assistant commissioner ( Land)a 37 complainant including Probir Kundu demanded the grabbers leaded by Provat Kundu of village Hakawbaha were excavated pond at the Hakawbaha point of Horihor river. They fill up the river bed by the excavated soil. So the river bed is raised up, and so that ecological balance hampering. They were cut trees from the land which worth about taka 5 to 6 lakh. The complainant were demanded the gravers are very much daring, and there threading to the complainants. So a tense situation is prevailing in the area.To know about the complain, this correspondent when asked to the Astt.commissioner, he said after receiving the application he indorse it to the local Topsider.
