LDP leader’s house vandalised in Laxmipur, 10 hurt

Laxmipur  – The residence of the joint secretary general of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) was allegedly vandalised by Jubo League activists in Ramganj of the district on Tuesday night. -UNB
At least 10 LDP activists were also injured as they came under attack by the Jubo League men.
Shahadat Hossain Selim, the joint general secretary of LDP, alleged that when he left his residence after a meeting with his party activists in the evening, some 30 Jubo League activists led by joint secretary of Ramganj Upazila Jubo League unit and Ward No-2 Counselor, Shakawat Hossain Raju, ransacked his house at night.
They later attacked some LDP men in front of a restaurant, leaving at least 10 of them injured, he added.
However, Shakhawat Hossain Raju denied the allegation brought against him.
Officer-in-charge of Ramganj Police Station, Md Tota Mia, said that no complaint was found yet in this regard.
