Leaders of the ruling party should work for the masses

It is found that senior leaders Awami League have little work except criticising the BNP using nasty words. AL central leader Tofail Ahmed has said BNP have participated in the Upazila election after rubbing nose on the ground. But people do not such remarks. Awami league should work for the masses of the people. It is really a great concern that the popularity of the Awami league in both rural and urban areas has decreased dramatically within a very few years. But why?
A report has shocked us that a principal of a madrasah at Boraigram, Natore has been beaten with stick severely by the local leaders of Awami League as they demanded three lakh Taka as extortion and the principal refused to pay the same. The principal had to lodge a case against the local leaders of Awami League in a local police station.
There are so many untold similar types of stories and some more severe ones that will be found in epidemic proportions in our society if we do investigate. This is one of the main reasons for the defeat of Awami league leaders in the Upazila election and we guess the same may happen in the national election if it is held with participation of the main opposition.
Many cabinet members and MPs of AL have shown in income tax returns submitted along with their nomination papers that their properties during the last five years increased manifold.
