A light tremor jolted the country’s northern region on Wednesday afternoon. According to Met Office, the 4.5-magnitude quake shook the region, including Panchagarh, Rangpur, Dinajpur and Nilphamari districts, at 7:05pm. The epicentre of the tremor was in Paschimbanga-Bihar border region of India, some 370 kilometres northwest of the seismic centre at Agargaon in the capital. However, there was no report of any casualty. – UNB
