Two children were killed as lightning struck them in Bhatigangpar area of Jogania union under Nalitabari upazila of the district on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Mosharraf, 10, son of Sekander Ali and his cousin Rabbi, 9, son of Rajab Ali of the same area.
Locals said lightning struck the victims while they were returning home from a school ground after playing football, leaving them dead on the spot. -BSS, Sherpur
