Four people, including two women, were killed in separate lightning strikes at different places of the district on Tuesday.Two of the deceased were identified as Shamsunnahar, 60, of Dhurung Kancha village in Kutubdia upazila, and Samshun Nahar, 24, of Jhilongjar on the outskirts of the district town.
The two other deceased hailed from Moheshkhali Island and Kharulia in Ramu upazila.
The four people met their tragic end when thunderbolt struck them amid rain.
Kutubdia and Sadar thana police confirmed the incidents. UNB
