Locomaster injured in B’baria attack

The locomaster of a Dhaka-bound train was injured in an attack by some unruly youths
over boarding the train illegally at Brahmanbaria Railway Station on Thursday night.
The victim was identified as Abdullah Al Baki, locomaster of Mohanagar Godhuli, a
Dhaka-Chittagong inter-city train.
Locals said a group of youths assaulted Baki and hit him with stones over boarding the
train when it reached the Brahmanbaria station from Chittagong.
Rescued by railway officials, Baki was admitted to a local hospital in a critical condition.
The train got stranded at the railway station for an hour from 8pm following the incident.
Later, another locomaster drove the train to Dhaka.
Meanwhile, three people were arrested in connection with the incident. –UNB,
