Dhaka- A couple of lovers has reportedly committed suicide by hanging themselves together at Thanapara in Kashiani upazila.The deceased were identified as Nur Islam Sheikh, 24, son of Manik Sheikh of Borasur village in the upazila, and Khuku Moni, 22, daughter of Nausher Ali of Baroipara village in Alfadanga upazila of Faridpur.Officer-in-charge of Kashiani Police Station AKM Alinur Hossain said Nur and Khuku’s brother-in-law Ripon Miah used to work at a local furniture shop at Thanapara.Nur had developed love affairs with Khuku and they had their dinner together at Ripon’s house on Friday night.Locals spotted the couple hanging from a tree with the same scarf near Ripon’s house on Saturday morning and informed police, the OC said, adding that they recovered the bodies and sent those to Gopalganj General Hospital for autopsy.UNB news agency
