A man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself failing to bear slander of stealing money at Biswanathpur village of Jafrannagar union in Juri upazila on Saturday afternoon.The deceased was identified as Mahmud Ali, 50, a caretaker of Madina Community Centre and son of Aliur Rahman.Informed by family members, police recovered the body.Mohammad Hamidur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Juri police station, said Mahmud killed himself by hanging with the ceiling of his room around 4.00pm due to frustration following financial loss of Madina Community Centre.Police suspected that Madina Community Center’s financial loss might be the cause behind his suicide.Earlier, the owner of the community centre had lost some money, for which he suspected Mahmud.The body was sent to Moulvibazar sadar hospital morgue for an autopsy, added the OC. -UNB, Moulvibazar
