Man hacked dead in Bandarban

Dhaka – A man was hacked to death by some unidentified miscreants at Marissha in Lama upazila in Bandarban hill district on Friday night, UNB news agency has reported. The deceased was identified as Khokan Nath, 35, son of Shudhangshu Nath, a resident of Kalauzan village in Lohagara upazila of Chittagong district.
Officer-in-charge of Lama Police Station M Iqbal Hossain said Khokan used to work at a grocery shop at Kejupara.
On Friday night, he was returning to Kejupara after collecting money from several shops at Lulain.
When he reached Marissha, a gang of miscreants swooped on him and hacked him leaving him dead around 10:30pm.
On information, police rushed in and recovered the body.
Police also arrested a man in connection with the incident.
