Man held with Rs 2.5cr at Ctg airport

A man was arrested along with Indian currency worth rupees 2.5 crore at Shah Amanat International Airport here on Sunday.   The arrested person was identified as Mustafizur Rahman of Chakaria upazila in Cox’s Bazar. Being tipped-off, customs officials and investigation department of the airport followed Mustafizur after he got down from an Oman Airlines flight at about 5pm, said Joynab Begum, customs official of the airport.   Later, the Indian currency was recovered from him while his bag was passing through the scanner, she said.   A case was filed in this connection. – UNB
