Chapainawabganj – A man was killed by miscreants at Lahalamari village in Shibganj upazila on Wednesday evening.The deceased was identified as Shafiqul Islam,48, son of Sekander Ali, a resident of the village.Officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station Moynul Islam said miscreants attacked Safiqul when he was returning home from Ranibari Bazar at about 7:30pm.At one stage, the attackers stabbed Safiqul indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.Later, Shafiqul succumbed to his injures on way to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.A case was filed in this connection.
