A man was killed as a CNG-run auto-rickshaw ran over him in Kusumbagh area on the Moulvibazar-Sylhet Highway in the district town on Saturday afternoon.The deceased was identified as Satan Badya, 55, son of late Makhon Lal Badya of Atgaon village in Sadar upazila.Locals said all of a sudden, a CNG-run auto-rickshaw carrying passengers ran over Satan in the area at about 2:00 pm as its driver lost control over
the steering, leaving him seriously injured.Satan was rushed to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital from where he was referred to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated.Later he died on the way to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.
