Mild tremor felt across country

A mild tremor on Saturday night jolted the capital Dhaka and other parts of the country.
There was no immediate report of casualtiy or damage in the quake that was felt in different parts of the country, including Chittagong and Mymensingh regions, at around 10:41pm.
Rasheduzzaman, a senior meteorologist of the Dhaka Met office, said that the epicenter of the earthquake, measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale, was in Myanmar, 430 kilometers south-east of Dhaka.
Earlier, the supervisor of the Earth Observatory in Dhaka University, Prof Syed Humayun Akhter told bdnews24.com that the epicentre of the quake was believed to be in Myanmar, 450 kilometres east of Dhaka.
