A few days ago information minister said “Now no one, not even a minister, is secure in Bangladesh.” I strongly agree with him. The situation is getting bad to worse.
Not very long ago, a girl government employee, who lived in the Motijheel colony, was killed for nothing by a motorcyclist along with friends.The girl was the only earning member to run her family as her father retired from government job. A case was filed against boy but they threatened the victim’s family to withdraw the case or face consequences. Victim’s high school going younger sister, now is now very afraid and cannot go to schools due to the threat from the murderer family particularly the boy himself.
Murder victim Dipan’s father has said he feels insecurity like 1971. All the people except the members of the ruling party of Bangladesh have the same feelings. Of course, there are a few exceptions also like VCs and Pro-VCs of some universities who did not provide jobs the members of ruling party accordingly the demand made by local. It is now open secret that all the jobs in all sectors are for the members of ruling party.
