A minor boy drowned in a ditch at Kharki in front of Government MM College in Jessore district town on Tuesday morning.The deceased was identified as Azim,3, son of Arif Hossain, a resident of the village.Locals said Azim slipped into water and drowned while playing on the bank of the ditch beside his house at about 7:00am.Later, locals rescued Azim and rushed him to Jessore 250-Bed Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead.A pal of gloom descended upon the area following the incident.UNB, Benapole
