Mirza Fakhrul granted bail in crude bomb explosion case

Dhaka – A court here on Monday granted bail to BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in a violence filed with Paltan Police Station over crude bomb explosion in front of BNP’ s Naya Paltan office in the city, unb news agtency reported.Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Nur Nabi passed the order responding to a bail petition filed by the BNP leader as he surrendered before the court in the morning.
Earlier on 18 June 2015, the High Court granted his bail until the submission of charge sheet in the case.
On May 3, police submitted two charge sheets against BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and 42 others in the case.
Sub-inspector Tobibur Rahman, who is the investigation officer of the case, submitted the charge sheets to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s court under the Explosive Substances Act.
On December 29, 2014, the case was filed with Paltan Police Station on charges of creating violence in front of BNP Naya paltan office by exploding crude bombs.
