Thakurgaon, Oct 1 (UNB) – A young woman, who reportedly went missing on September 28, a day after her husband allegedly committed suicide, was found dead in a pond of Udoypur village in Baliadangi upazila on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Samoti Roy, 20, wife of late Bilash Paul of the village.
Mosabberul Haque, officer-in-charge of Baliadangi Police Station, said locals spotted the body floating in the pond of Jagesh Master in the evening and informed them.
Later, they recovered the body from the water body around 8:30pm and sent it to hospital morgue on Tuesday morning for autopsy, he said.
Bilash reportedly took his life taking poison on September 27 in a huff after he had a tiff with Samoti, the OC said, adding that the housewife remained missing since the early hours of September 28.
