Dhaka – Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Iqbal Mahmood on Tuesday said there is no difference between taking bribe and begging.“Those taking bribe and thinking that no one will know about it are living in a fool’s paradise. There’s no difference between begging and taking bribes,” he said.
The chairman made the remarks while addressing a training progamme participated by 30 ACC officials.
To transform the ACC into a smart organisation, he said, every work of its officials should be time-bound, precise, measurable and relevant.
Iqbal Mahmood said it is almost impossible to change the mindset of a mature individual if the person does not change himself or herself. “So, we need to change ourselves in the interest of the organisation.”UNB
