Police recovered the body of a schoolboy from the washroom of a local school in Debhata upazila on Friday evening 10 hours after his going missing.
The deceased was identified as Foysal Al Hasan, 11, a class IV student of Nalta Primary School and son of Abul Hossain Raju of Debishohor village in the upazila.Locals spotted the body of Foysal in the washroom of Sakhipur High School in the evening and informed police who recovered the body.The body bore injury marks in the neck.Kazi Jalaluddin, officer-in-charge of Debhata Police Station, said Foysal had gone missing at about 9:00 am on Friday and since then he remained traceless.Miscreants strangulated him to death and dumped the body in the school’s washroom, added the OC.The reason behind the killing could not be known immediately. -UNB, Satkhira
