Police recovered the body of a cloth trader from Bhawal National Park in the district on Wednesday three days after his going missing.The deceased was identified as Altaf Hossain, 45, a cloth trader and son of Billal Hossain of Satgram village in Araihazar upazila of Narayanganj district. Altaf, also joint secretary of Satgram union unit of Awami League, used to live at Konapara in Jatrabari of the city. Assistant sub-inspector Fazle Rabbi of Jaydebpur police station said Altaf had gone out of the house on December 21 and since then he did not return. His wife filed a general diary with Jatrabari police station. Later, police arrested Altaf’s second wife, her mother and her uncle on suspicion. Following their confessional statement, a team of police led by Rafiqul Islam recovered the decomposed body of Altaf from Bhawal National Park at noon and sent it to Gazipur Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy. –UNB, Gazipur
