Asencee of awareness, non-application of rules, free smoking of of cigarettes have been hampering the smoking free environment of
Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH).At the time of investigation by the journalist on 20th May found that patients are deprived of pollution free environment.
It is seen there are two canteens at the hospital compound but the smoker are smoking out side and inside of the canteen area. We tried
to talk with Manager of Doctor and student canteen but he was busy to customer care at the time. Alomgir (52) said it is very difficult of
get a law enforcer in time. For want of law enforcer, smoking free environment, banner, festoon painful environment service against the
smokers do not get proper action or Punishment. In spite of meeting symposium and writing in various newspapers again and again there is no change of this situation. The sufferer urges the concern authority to take necessary action against the air pollution.
