Moosa Bin Shamsher probe report deferred

Dhaka – The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Wednesday deferred the submission of the investigation report of the case filed against businessman Moosa Bin Shamsher to November 30.Magistrate Nur Nahar Yasmin Natun passed the order as the concerned investigation agency did not submit the prove report yesterday. The case was filed against Moosa on the charge of dodging customs duty and for submitting an erroneous report about his deposit in the Swiss bank.
While replying to customs detectives. Moosa informed, “He has a deposit of 96 thousand crores Taka with the Swiss bank”. But he did not give any bank account or legal source of the amount. Although he was served notices on several occasions, he did not submit any account of the money.
Meanwhile, on March 21, customs detectives raided Moosa’s Gulshan and seized a valuable car. Later, officials of Dhaka customs House lodged a suit against for dodging customs duty.- Special Correspondent
