Chapainawabganj – A housewife allegedly committed suicide after killing her five-year old daughter at Choudala in Gomostapur upazila on Saturday morning. The deceased were identified as Ayesha, 25, wife of Apple Mahmud and their daughter Rayesha, 5. Officer-in-charge of Gomostapur Police Station Golam Martuza said Apple Mahmud, an employee of an NGO, returned home from his workplace
around 1 pm and called his wife to open the door.As he didn’t get any response from inside, Apple peeped through the window and found his wife hanging from the ceiling fan and daughter Rayesha lying on floor.On information, police recovered the bodies.
Aysha might have killed herself after strangulating her daughter to death following family feud, said the OC.Meanwhile, police arrested Apple for interrogation.
