Police arrested a muazzin of a mosque in Fatullah area of Sadar
upazila on Saturday on charge of distorting Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina’s images. The arrestee was identified as Asadullah, 35,
muazzin of Killerpur Jam-e Masjid in the city and son of one Mofazzal
Hossain. Sub-inspector Wahiduzzaman of Fatullah Model Police Station
said they arrested Asadullah while showing people a number of
distorted images of the Prime Minister contained in his mobile phone
around 2 pm. Preparation was underway to file a case against him
under Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act. – UNB
