Authorities of Swashswata Bangla Muktijuddha Jadughar (SBMJ) at an emergency meeting here on Tuesday afternoon finalised and chalked out 9-day elaborate programmes in observance of the great Victory Day-2013.
The programmes include colourful cultural functions, discussion meeting, staging dramas and screening of documentary films on the War of Liberation from December 8 to 16 at the SBMJ premises in the city.
Chairman of the Victory Day observance implementation committee of SBMJ and Principal of Rangpur Cantonment Public School and College (RCPSC) Colonel Rashidul Islam Khan presided over the meeting held at the Teachers’ Lounge of RCPSC.
Members of the observance implementation committee including District Commander of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangshad Mosaddek Hossain Bablu, President of Rangpur Nattya Kendra Kazi Mohammad Junnon, Professor Md. Shah Alam, Cultural Officer of District Shilpakola Academy KM Arif Uzzaman, Vice-principal of Rangpur Police Lines School and College Manjurul Islam, addressed.
General Secretary (GS) of Nattya Kendra Razzaque Murad, GS of Shikha Sangsad Nipun Roy, journalist Merina Lovely, Advocate Zakia Sultana Choitee of Rangpur Shahittya Sangskritik Parishad, teachers Harihar Chandra Roy, Mahbubur Rahman, Sunil Kumar Sarker, Chitta Ranjan barman, Atikul Islam, GM Mizanur Rahman, Humayun Kabir, Abduallah Al Matin and Member-secretary and Coordinator of the observance implementation committee Ziaul Kabir also addressed the meeting. –BSS, Rangpur
