Murad Noor composes for Fahmida Nabi

Noted singer Fahmida Nabi has sung a composition of promising composer Murad Noor for the first time.

Fahmida has recently recorded the song titled Ami Tomar Preme Poria, Beena Jole Morlam Dubiya at the Longplay Studio in the city.

Written by noted lyricist Shahidullah Farayazi, the song has been directed by Mushfiq Litu.

Fahmida Nabi said, “I would like to thank Murad Noor as he has given me an opportunity to sing a song of Shahidullah Farayazi.”

Murad Noor said, “I am so glad to work with two stars of the country’s musical arena and hope the listeners will enjoy my composition.”

Shahidullah Farayazi said, “Fahmida Apa always fascinates me through her melodic voice. I am very fortunate to work with her.”

Fahmida Nabi is the daughter of late singer Mahmudun Nabi and the elder sister of singer Samina Chowdhury.

Nabi was one of the judges of CloseUp1, a reality TV show of ntv, from 2005 to 2013. She also runs a voice modulation institution named Karigori from 2007. Fahmida Nabi won the National Film Award as the Best Female Playback Singer in 2007 for her song Lukochuri Lukochuri Golpo in Bengali film titled Aha. She also received Channel i Performance Award in 2008 and Meril Prothom Alo Award in 2009.
