Rajshahi, Oct 15 – A mural of Syed Amir Ali was inaugurated at Sayed Amir Ali Hall of Rajshahi University (RU) on Saturday evening.RU vice-chancellor Professor Dr M Abdus Sobhan inaugurated the moral as the chief guest while pro-vice-chancellor professor Dr Chawdhury Md Zakaria addressed the programme as special guests.
Besides, student advisor Prof Dr Laila Anjuman Banu, proctor Prof Dr Luthfor Rahman and public relation officer Prof Dr Provash Kumar Karmakar were present.
Three students of fine arts faculty Mosfiqur Rahman, Bulbul Ahmed and Sohan Ahmed have given crest for helping to design the moral while hall provost of Syed Amir Ali Prof Dr Aminul Islam presided over the program.
Mentionable, Syed Amir Ali was a jurist, writer, and Muslim leader during the British rule in India. – RU Correspondent
