A musical cconcert, organised by Alliance Française, Dhaka entitled entitled ‘Trans-portées / Scale to Scale’ was held at National Theater Hall , Bangladeshi Shilpakala Academy on Friday, 8 March.
This exceptional program was a rendez-vous between two continents, two cultures, two time periods. A musical dialogue between traditional Bangladeshi music and the contemporary creation of the French composer Laurent Cuniot. A travel in space and time gathering the legendary Bangladeshi singer Farida Parveen and her musicians, the Soprano Hadhoum Tunc and the musicians of the French ensemble TM+.
A poetic dialogue between the texts of the mystical philosopher Lalon Shah and the contemporary poetry of Muhammad Mansur.
The programme was supported by Gandharbpur Water Treatment SNC (a joint venture of SUEZ INTERNATIONAL and OTV-VEOLIA), the Embassy of France to Bangladesh, and Le Bureau Export.
