Dhaka – Bangladesh pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman’s tour in the UK to play for Sussex in the NatWest T20 Blast has been
delayed due to visa issues.As Mustafizur could not leave on July 13 as planned, the cutter-master will miss his scheduled debut for Sussex on July 15 against Hampshire.The delay was caused by the long Eid vacation as he had to wait till after the holidays to apply for the UK visa.Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) sources on Wednesday confirmed that the visa procedure is set to be completed ‘any day’. He will now have to target Sussex’s July 21 T20 match in Essex.The delay of visa processing left Mustafiz with only seven possible
appearances in the 2016 English season. He had already missed most of Sussex’s T20 and one-day campaign due multiple injuries on his right leg after Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016 where he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad.(UNB)
