Myanmar national caught at Teknaf

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested a Myanmar national along with 9.5 kg gold and Tk 42.58 lakh along Teknaf border on Saturday.Tipped off that most wanted Myanmar national Mong Mong Sen Rakhain was in his residence along the border area, a BGB team, led by Abu Zar Al Jahid and other officers of BGB Chittagong Region, conducted the drive at the area around 3:30am, said Russell Siddique of BGB battalion-2.During the 15-hour drive, BGB members arrested Mong Mong Sen and recovered 9.5 kg gold, Tk 42.58 lakh and 50,000 Myanmar currencies (kyat) from his possession, Russell added.Mong Mong Sen was a wanted human trafficker and a listed Yaba trader on the lists prepared by Bangladesh home ministry in 2012.On 13 December 2014, BGB had arrested Mong Mong along with 10,000 pieces of Yaba and sentenced him 10-month jail in this connection.
