Magura, Mar 9: A Magura court on Monday sentenced a man to life term imprisonment in a case filed under the Anti-Narcotics Act in 2009.The convict is Emdadul Haq Sohel,45, son of Karim Moulvi of Islampur area of the town.
He court also fined him Tk 5000, in default, to suffer three years more RI.
According to prosecution, a team of police seized 107 bottles of phensidyl from a shoe store owned by Emdadul in the town on February 6 , 2009 and a case was filed in this connection.
After examining the records and witnesses additional district and sessions judge Farzana Yasmin handed down the verdict, reports UNB.
