People of all walks of life including politicians, educationists, businessmen, sports personalities and cultural activists have congratulated the Bangladesh Cricket team for their outstanding victory.Processions were brought out by the Awami League and its affiliate orgaisations. The Bnp-led 20-Party Alliance brought out processions in all cities and towns to rejoice the victory. Leader and workers of the 20-Party Alliance were seen parading streets without being obstructed by police form the first time in many months.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called for celebrating the victory with jubilation as Bangladesh cricket team has entered the quarter final of the ICC World Cup Cricket defeating England by 15 runs on Monday.
Bnp chairperson and 2-Party chief Khaleda Zia on Monday announced relaxation of hartal for Tuesday for the people to rejoice the victory.
Different socio-cultural organizations including the ruling party have flooded the streets, dancing, waving flags and splashing colours in celebration of the national team’s historic victory.
