The 21-member newly elected executive committee of Actors’ Equity began its journey through a programme held at National Art Gallery Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the city on June 28.
The programme, titled ‘Obhinoy Shilpi Sangher Abhishekh’, featured discussion and cultural show.
Actors Equity president Shahiduzzaman Selim, its general secretary Ahsan Habib Nasim, Directors’ Guild president Salauddin Lavlu, Television Programme Producers’ Association of Bangladesh president Iresh Zaker and others spoke on the occasion.
Following the discussion, a vibrant cultural show was held to the delight of the audience. Actors’ Equity was formed in 2002. The organisation has since been working as a platform to forward interests of the artistes.
