Rajshahi – A two-day long Nirikh Literary Conferencec-2017 will begin on the Rajshahi University (RU) campus Wednesday.Nirikh, an arts and society based magazine of Bangla department of the university is organizing the program.
Eminent litterateur Hasan Azizul Haq will inaugurate the two-day long conference.
Addressing a press conference at university Deans' Complex on Tuesday, administrator of RU central library and president of Nirikh executive committee Professor Dr Safikunnabi Samadi informed RU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Mizanuddin and Pro-VC Prof Dr. Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan are expected to attend the event as chief guest and special guest respectively.
A total of 48 papers will be presented at the conference by different renowned writers and litterateurs of the country, Prof Samadi added.
Secretary of Nirikh editorial body Mosrafa Tarikul Ahsan, member Sharifa Salowa Dina, Puranjit Mahaldar and Shamsun Nahar were present at the press conference. – RU Correspondent
