Verdict on the appeal hearing on death penalty of Jamaat chief Motiur Rahman Nizami wil be delivered on 6 January.
Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on Tuesday fixed the verdict date closing the appeal hearing on the death penalty of the Jamaat leader.Earlier on 17 November, the Appellate Division resumed hearing on the appeal.On 9 September, a four-member bench began hearing on the appeal as the Jamaat leader filed appeal challenging his death penalty in the Appellate Division on 23 November last year.International Crimes Tribunal-1 on 29 October 2014 gave death penalty to Motiur Rahman Nizami on four charges, including murdering intellectuals.
