Oishee Rahman, accused of killing her parents, has been denied bail.
The court however ordered books and study materials to be delivered to her prison ward, so that she can prepare for her O-Levels examinations due in May.
Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Noor gave the order after hearing out two petitions from Oishee’s lawyers on Sunday.
Oishee’s parents, Special Branch Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and homemaker Swapna Begum, were found stabbed to death in their apartment in Dhaka’s Chamelibagh on Aug 16, 2013.
Oishee, who went missing and then surfaced mysteriously, is the prime suspect.
The teenager was sent to Dhaka Central Jail from a correctional institution on orders of the court.
She is now being kept in a women’s cell at Dhaka Central Prison-2 in Kahsimpur.
