No dialogue with BNP, no polls till 2019: Tofail

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Sunday ruled out the possibility of dialogue with the opposition Bangladesh Nationalist party (BNP) saying, ‘there can be no dialogue wiith those who had bloods of shaheeds in their hands. There wille be no mid-term election in the country he said adding, the BNP would have to wait till 2019 for the next general elections.Tofail Ahmed was was addressing a public meeting organised marking the 64th birth anniversary of assassinated Tongi AL leader Ahsanuddin Master at the Tongi Safiuddin Sarkar Academy ground as the chief guest.
He said those who killed Ahsanullah Master were also responsible for the killing of SAMS Kibria, the former Finance Minister. Tofail said there could be no dialogue with those who conspired to undo the 05 January elections, killed ordinary people by burning them with fire, killed Ivy Rahman and 23 other AL leaders and workers while attempting to kill Sheikh Hasina.
The public meeting, presided over by Md Fazlul Huq, president Tongi thana unit of AL was also addressed byAbdur Sobhan Golap, special assistant to the Prime Minister, Zahid Ahsan Russel, son of Ahsanullah Master and MP of Gazipur – 2 constituency, and Azmat Ullah Khan, general secretary of the local district AL. – GreenWatch Dhaka Report.
