Rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind, is likely to hit parts of the country, including Dhaka.
The Met Office said nor’wester may sweep over Dhaka, Khulna, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Mymenshing, Barishal and Chattogram divisions between Tuesday and Saturday.
Meteorologist Md Aftab Uddin said the nor’wester began in Rajshahi and is currently sweeping over Pabna and may hit Dhaka at Wednesday night.
The pre-monsoon nor’wester is caused by heavy convection for excessive heat, he said.
A trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area, the Met Office said, adding that seasonal low lies over South Bay.
