Nuril Islam Khalifa made Islami Bank DMD

Eminent banker Nurul Islam Khalifa has been promoted to Deputy Managing Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited. He is now working as the head of Information Communication and Technology Wing of the Bank. Earlier, he served in the Corporate Investment Division and Human Resources Division as Executive Vice President of the Bank. Besides, he was the Director General of Islami Bank Training and Research Academy (IBTRA).
Nurul Islam Khalifa joined IBBL on 29 April 1985 as Senior Officer and conducted as Zonal Head in Khuna and Branch Manager at Kushtia, Barisal and Bogra branch. Besides he worked at different branches, divisions, departments, zones, and wings of the bank in different rank and position. He started his banking career as Probationary Officer of Agrani Bank in 1980 and served there till senior officer.
He visited many counties including Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and United Kingdom to participate in seminars and conferences on Banking and Economics. He was born at Sakokathi village of Gouranadi Thana under Barisal District.
