Obaidul Quader leaves Mount Elizabeth Hospital

Dhaka, Apr 2 (UNB)— Road Transport Minister Obaidul Quader was released from Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital on Friday afternoon.

“His health condition is better now. His blood pressure and diabetes are under control,” said Dr Abu Naser Rizvi, director of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).

“He’ll receive follow-up treatment for the next two-three weeks and then he can return home according to doctors’ advice,” Rizvi, accompanying the minister, told the media in Singapore.

Quader underwent a bypass surgery on March 20 and was shifted to a cabin six days later.

He was admitted to BSMMU on March 3 following breathing complications but tests revealed three blockages in his coronary artery.

He was flown to Singapore the next day for better treatment.
