One died in earthquake

A young boy died while rushing out of his Dhaka residence during the earthquake that jolted Bangladesh, India and Myanmar early Monday.The deceased is Atiqur Rahman, 23, a resident of city’s Jurain area. His neighbour Rahman said Atiqur fell sick while rushing towards the ground floor along with 10 to 12 people.Being taken to the Dhaka Medical Collage Hospital, doctors declared him dead.DMCH police camp in-charge Mojammel Haque confirmed the news.
The body has been kept at the hospital morgue.Another 30 were also injured while rushing out of their respective houses or student hostels. Most of them are students of different halls of Dhaka University.Among them, seven have been admitted to DMCH.The earthquake measuring 6.8 in Richter scale struck Bangladesh, northeast India and Myanmar at around 5:00am.Dhaka met office said the quake, which is considered strong, was felt at a magnitude of 6.6 in Bangladesh.
