At least one person was killed each in Satkhira and Laxmipur when joint forces led by police undertook operations in Satkhira and Laxmipur on Monday night, BBC reported.
The Superintendent of police of Satkhira was quoted to have told BBC that they would continue the operation till normalcy was restored in the district which was torn by Jamaat-led violence for sometime.
However, several media have been reporting three to five casualties which the police are yet to confirm.
Satkhira Superintendent of Police Chowdhury Manjurul Kabir said he had heard of deaths of several people but the Sadar police had confirmed the death of one.
A Jamaat activist died of a heart attack during the clashes, the party claimed.
A joint force of police, RAB and Border Guard Bangladesh started raids in many places of Satkhira Sadar and Debhata Upazila early on Monday to nab those involved in recent violence by Jamaat-Shibir activists.
Jamaat-Shibir activists put up a barricade on the road in Sadar Upazila with logs and lobbed handmade bombs and stones at the security forces.
That provoked retaliation.
Shibir activist Jahangir Hossain, 27, was shot dead during the clash, Sadar Police Station OC Enamul Haque said.
Two Jamaat activists — Shamsul Haque, 50, and Shafiqul Islam, 36, were detained from Satani.
Jamaat supporters clashed with security forces during another drive in Debhata Upazila around 4am, Debhata Police Station OC Tarak Biswas said.
Two people—Reazul Islam and Rauf Mia were hit by bullets in Debhata, said OC Tarak, adding that they were admitted to Sadar Hospital.

BBC Reported, In Laxmipur one opposition activist was killed when security forced opened fire to contain the situation in the district. Local journalists were quoted to have said that the activist belonged to the BNP.
Bdnews24.com reported: One person was killed past midnight Monday in a ‘shootout’ with RAB at Lakshmipur, according to the local police.
Sadar Police Station OC Iqbal Hossain said that the gun battle happened around 12am in the Jamirtali area.
He said that the dead, Asaduzzaman Babul was a listed criminal and used to lead a gang of criminals.
The BNP’s Lakhsmipur unit vice-president Saidur Rahman said that Babul was the joint secretary of the district unit of Juba Dal, the youth affiliate of the party.
According to OC Hossain, the RAB conducted a raid at the village home of Babul to nab him.
The gunfight started when Babul and his accomplishes started firing at the members of RAB.
Babul died in the ‘shootout’, he said adding that the Juba Dal leader was charged in several cases of murder, abduction, looting, extortion and vandalism.
Locals say more than dozen have been killed by the Babul-led gang in the last few months.
